What I show you today is en anti-auriane protection. Yes, you've read it right, this has nothing to do with planes, but with my youngest girl, who almost reaches her two years.

Now, she doesn't put her toys in her mouth anymore, she loves to play close to her sisters, but she is also able to climb up the stairs of her elder sister's mezzanine bed.

When she was younger, I simply condemned the door of that room, but it's coming more and more difficult and she is too young to understand what we say when we tell her it is dangerous without attempting to do it anyway. Her two sisters know that they are not allowed to play there and that if they want to sit comfortably on something, they have a collection of floor cushions.

So I thought of sewing some kind of protection to prevent her from having access to the steps, along with explaining she does not have the right to climb.

To do so, I reused a piece of fabric that was used here and there, to make the curtains and the bed curtains of my elder's room. So it matches perfectly the rest of the room.

To fix the top of the protection, I used two strips of fabric that are fixed with some velcro and the bottom is folded upwards and fixed with some more strips of velcro to make it mere difficult to take off.

When the little one is in her bed, we only have to un-fix the bottom and to slide the protection behind the steps so that the elder one can go to bed and we put it once again the next day !

What do you think about that ?
